Individual Therapy (EMDR-Informed)
YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF…
You’ve spent time reflecting.
You have insight into your patterns.
And yet—something still isn’t shifting in the way you hoped.
You might notice:
-
Old experiences still feel present, not fully in the past
-
Your nervous system stays on high alert
-
You appear "fine" on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious or triggered underneath
-
You can’t quite think your way out of certain reactions
-
You are an expert in taking care of everyone else or "people please" but you're not sure what you need or how to take care of yourself
-
Patterns keep repeating, even when you understand them
-
Traditional talk therapy hasn’t been enough on its own
If that resonates, it doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong. It may simply mean your system needs a different kind of support—one that goes beyond insight and into deeper processing.
You’re not just looking for quick coping strategies.
You’re wanting real movement, even if that process feels challenging at times.

HOW I WORK
My approach is grounded in person-centered care, creating a space where you feel respected, understood, and able to move at your own pace.
EMDR is a core part of my work, especially in helping clients process experiences that feel stuck or unresolved. I also thoughtfully integrate other evidence-based approaches as needed, ensuring our work aligns with your goals and supports meaningful, lasting change.
Our work may be:
-
Active – gently moving toward the roots of what’s keeping you stuck
-
Structured when helpful – offering direction and clarity when you need it
-
Flexible – allowing space for reflection, curiosity, and integration
This is therapy that honors both where you are and where you want to go.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
I also have specialized training in EMDR therapy for 911 Professionals.
This work recognizes the unique psychological demands of emergency response roles—where exposure to repeated high-stress, high-stakes situations can accumulate in the nervous system over time, even when someone is highly skilled at staying composed in the moment.
In this context, we may focus on experiences that:
-
Feel “contained” at the time but linger afterward
-
Contribute to emotional numbing, irritability, or hypervigilance
-
Show up as intrusive memories, stress responses, or burnout
-
Are difficult to process through traditional talk therapy alone
EMDR can be especially supportive in helping the nervous system digest and integrate these experiences, so they feel less present in day-to-day life, while still honoring the meaning and importance of the work you do.
A NOTE ON APPROACHES
Some clients come to EMDR for help processing experiences that still feel emotionally present. Others benefit from additional approaches that support flexibility, regulation, and self-understanding.
Rather than relying on a single method, we collaborate to find what supports meaningful and sustainable change.
Curious about EMDR?
THIS WORK MAY BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU:
-
Are open to engaging in the process of change, even when it feels uncomfortable
-
Want to move beyond insight into deeper healing and integration
-
Are curious about what actually helps—not just what makes sense logically
-
Can tolerate some discomfort in service of growth—with support
THIS MAY NOT BE THE BEST FIT IF YOU:
-
Are only looking for a space to vent without deeper exploration
-
Prefer a more passive or unstructured therapy experience
-
Don’t feel ready to engage with difficult emotions at this time
Change is possible—but it’s rarely linear, and it’s rarely easy.
You don’t have to force it, and you don’t have to do it alone.
